Unattended Holiday Package

Allen is back and he comes home bearing gifts. Of course, as usual the gifts he bears will be loudly chewed on the microphone, because Allen is a dickhead (I want to guest-post a How You Can Be Cool about microphone etiquette).

We promised a link to the Restore Stephen Baldwin site, but sadly, it doesn't exist anymore. It's out there cached on the internet somewhere, but guess who doesn't care enough to go find it. Me (and, I assume, pretty much everybody).

Instead, how about a movie trailer? You've already seen it, but we're all quite excited about this one.

And here's a video in which someone charmingly thought Tom Hardy's muffled voice would be edited in post for The Dark Knight Rises.

Have a listen to this podcast!

And then have a listen to the Sneaky Dragon podcast, hosted by our pals Ian Boothby and Dave Dedrick too!

Skis to the Ballet

Michael Teigen joins us for this episode while Allen is away. I tried to find him in a Buddies movie trailer, but I couldn't. So here's one of the trailers which contains the word "spooktacular", one of my top five favourite words of all time.

From talking dogs to humans in huge dog costumes, here's a clip of Barkley from Sesame Street, in case you've forgotten him.

Have a listen!

Laser-Totin' Gorillas

Alright, let's get this out of the way. We promised a link to this, even though the discussion of this video was cut from the podcast. Still, kind of an awesome video.

This is also mentioned.

And hey, how about this?

Listen!

Stump Grinders

As promised, we switched up our seating arrangement for this week, and Allen got drunk on the power of the captain's chair. We also introduce two new euphemisms you'll have to listen for.

Also, this happened:

This very amusig gif was representative of Allen trying to start a Jack Nicholson impression:

And hey, this very evening (and the 19th and 26th of October) at 9pm, this show will happen. See it!

And for some reason I seem to remember seeing videos of this dark period of Mighty Mouse's history all over, but all I can find is this picture.

And don't forget to visit @CanucksClown for your Canucks hockey live tweeting needs.

Alright. Episode:

The Korn Maize

Bad puns! That's what we have for you here! Also, Shaun reunites with his arch-nemesis, Allen reunites with his job, and Eric reunites with his hatred of yo-yos in crowded spaces.

We mention this thing, and the hilarious possibility it missed (I assume. I realize now it's cut at the end, so there's no way to know if it delivered on the final joke possibility (I'm guessing no)):

Shaun spoke of this, and this is the very performance he witnessed (grabbed from youtube--video looks great, audio doesn't quite do it justice):

Spoke about this, conversation got cut, but go see this movie:

But first, listen to this.

The Birch Bay Horror

As promised, we start with a link to the Nyan Cat. Now, Eric claims it's a youtube video, which is true (actually it started as an animated gif which someone added music to for said video), but I've always known it simply as this website.

So there's that.

Then we're going to skip everything else to show you images I found that could represent our Justice Pals RPG characters. First up is Shaun's Tits Handlin:

Allen's Save the Ales (or Saive Thales, sounds more namey):

And of course, Eric's Elfy McShootfast, who is a sexy lady:

Learn about all these characters and more when you listen to the episode.

The Makers of Donkey Love

Stop right now if you don't want this image to be ruined for you.

Still here? We interviewed Daryl Stoneage and Tyler Chandler, director and producer of Donkey Love respectively, after watching their movie. This movie:

We also learned about Daryl's past life as Uncle Traveling Matt (find out more at dearnephewgobo.com).

While we're on the subject of Daryl and Tyler's work, have a look at this short film about local comedian Shlomo McPeake's Mr. Roboto act:

Got all that? Enjoy the episode.

Allen's Eye Trauma

Allen's survival is at question for another episode. Here are a couple things we mentioned:

The Salvador Dali appearance on What's My Line.

Andy Daly's appearance on the Comedy Death Ray CD can be heard here (find the cd and buy it).

And some night market photos.

Hear all about it on the episode:

Circle of Nerds

In our new podcast, we cut out the extensive rambling section of Shaun's Harry Potter finale conjecture (we haven't read the books-- don't spoil them for us), so to make up for a loss of Harry Potter content, here's a funny Harry Potter-inspired video from Second City.

We all recommend this movie:

However, if you found that trailer confusing and you don't like that, we don't recommend watching the whole thing.

Also, post-editing factoid-- the name of the ride at Playland that scares Shaun too much is the Revelation. Seriously. That thing is a menace.

Now, g'wan listen!

Pick up the Phone!

A lot's been going on around here lately. You can listen to hear all about it in the latest episode, but here's a quick pictoral recap.

We had a bit of trouble with these guys.

Eric was in a room with this guy.

We saw this and it was pretty great.

Oh, and Allen says we should put up stripper pictures to drive up traffic, so here you go.

Hey, and in case you missed it, we did a spoiler show about Game of Thrones. Listen to it if you've watched all the episodes of the first season. And enjoy this picture of hipster Jon Snow.

Non-traditional sports

How about a podcast in which we discuss our love of MarioKart 64, our delight in the TV show Community, and our joy in watching Bridesmaids? Because that's what we have to offer here. Oh, and this. It's the Cheese Rolling trailer for This is Spinal Tap.

The Danger, The Meal, and The Assault

Allen is back, and he survived Asia while doing everything he was told not to. And he brought us candy!

Actually, we're a little curious (and a bit concerned) about the pills embedded in the candy. We welcome anyone who can to translate this part of the label:

Also, enjoy this note recently slipped under the door of Shaun's former roommate.

And here is the episode.

Sad Clown Sex

Welcome our guest host Riel Hahn as Allen continues his trip around a foreign continent!

Now, we promised we wouldn't put a link up to that video we talked about-- hell, we feel terrible just for spending all that time talking about it. Instead, enjoy various videos of adorable things:

ADORABLE!!!
Also, here's this Doctor Who minisode, which is actually dreadfully delightful.

And the podcast!

Ruballen!

It's a fever dream of dumb jokes about great movies! Allen starts out pretty rough and ends up insane-- listen to this unprecedented look into the downward progress of a man in the throes of his rubella vaccination. Apparently it leads to this sort of thing:

There's also a fair amount of this (as usual):

And some talk about this:

Oh, and at the appropriate moment, watch this. Don't watch it otherwise. There are very few appropriate moments to watch this:

Okay, let the tuning commence!

The Justice Bowl!

In all our discussion comparing the Super Bowl Half-Time show with the Grey Cup's show, we forgot about how the Black Eyed Peas played Canada's show 6 years ago. Not that we're going to post video of either event though. That's gross.

We will post this trailer for the movie Fear though, in which you can witness some of the points put forward by our guest Lauren McGibbon.

We will also post a link to the "Say Wha..?" event on February 16th which will feature both Lauren and Eric.

And of course a link to the episode. Enjoy!

The Wizards of Podcasting

First Justice Pals Podcast of the new year, and why not kick it off with a LARPer video on the blog?

Or a nominally amusing video wth Chris Chelios and Sam Jackson?

I'll tell you what you don't get-- a ten minute exploratin of the career of Vince Vaughn, since we mercifully edited that out of the finished podcast.

There it is. Up there. CLICK ON IT!!!
