New episode for a new year!

So much to talk about this episode, we've broken the one hour mark. I blame James Cameron for changing the way we look at abusing people's patience. Here it is now!

You may have noticed Eric's claim that the backing music for this glorious song is the Imperial March from Return of the Jedi. Turns out he's right:

You also heard Eric's claim that this movie existed with Gary Oldman as a dwarf. You probably didn't realize it featured "command performances" from Kate Beckinsale and Matthew McConaughey or that Gary Oldman's was a "role of a lifetime". Now you know:

Also, miss the chipmunks of yesteryear? Don't go too far back, because before they looked like this:

Wookiee Life Day

It's the most wonderful time of the galactic cycle, so the Justice Pals are back with a new episode featuring Josh Hallem. We mentioned not being overly excited about Avatar and the question was raised as to whether we are too old to get excited for action movies now. Apparently we're not though, because this trailer made me pee a little Full Throttle energy syrup:

Grab a mug of Hoth Chocolate and settle in with this episode.

Justice Pals announcement time!

Hey remember how we used to do a podcast? Okay, we still do, but it was delayed first of all by my moving (to a different house no less!) and then by me spilling coffee into my laptop keyboard (bad decision). So we'll have a new episode coming out shortly after I get that keyboard replaced.

Also, for those of you who have come to see us at Urban Improv at any point over the past five or so years, we made a special impromptu announcement this week letting all the attendees know that our time as the regular first half group has come to an end. We may still be an irregular first half group showing up from time to time to drop some hilarity (and then pick it up again-- say what you will about us; we are not litterbugs!). We'll keep you posted. Stay tuned for another podcast coming soon!

A newish episode

This episode wet on-line last week, and I forgot to put a blog post up with it.
So here you go, it features Allen Morrison and Vicky Van.

We referenced the tagline from this trailer a bunch:

We looked into the future and laughed about this movie, which turns out to be getting good reviews (did not see that coming):

And this particular thing didn't come up, but I think we all believe that any self-respecting video gamer feels this way about the two games represented here:

It's all here!

The Eiger Sanction Special

Sometimes the plot synopsis is enough. To share in this episode's exposition of Clint Eastwood's classic, The Eiger Sanction, is Dave Thorvald Olsen, of Choogle On! with Uncle Weed and the Canucks Outsider Podcast (as pictured below, far right(bus far right that is, not the guy on the sidewalk)).

Also discussed are Nic Cage's Superman costume test (observe with caution):

And Joe Pesci's hip hop opus, Wiseguy:

All that and more, right here.

Taylor Watch Update!

This is Bill Taylor:

Luckily, he has been recovered following the events of our latest podcast, but we encourage our listeners to continue to keep an eye out for him. He may disappear at any time. Vigilance could be your bestest friend.

Also, it may be like watching a PVR'd hockey game, but get in on the excitement of Taylor Watch 2009 by listening to our latest podcast.
